Darden and Costco feature in Newsquawk’s 24 September earnings estimates

Newsquawk lists earnings and revenue forecasts for Darden Restaurants and Costco Wholesale, including upcoming quarterly and full-year expectations.

Newsquawk’s earnings calendar for 24 September 2026 highlights Darden Restaurants and Costco Wholesale, with investors watching forecasts for quarterly earnings, revenue and the companies’ outlooks for the financial years ahead.

Darden Restaurants is listed with an expected earnings-per-share result of 2.05 and revenue of $3.21bn. The estimates also include expectations for the following quarter, when earnings per share are projected at 2.30 and revenue at $3.27bn.

For the current financial year, the forecast calls for Darden to report earnings per share of 11.29 and revenue of $13.69bn. Expectations rise for the next financial year, with earnings per share placed at 12.41 and revenue at $14.52bn.

Newsquawk places Darden in its S&P 500 earnings listing. The company’s entry is scheduled for 12:00 BST, or 07:00 EDT. The listing does not provide reported results or management commentary; it sets out the market expectations against which any eventual figures would be assessed.

Costco’s quarterly forecasts

Costco Wholesale appears in both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 sections of the Newsquawk schedule. The estimates are the same in each listing, making the retailer the other major earnings name highlighted in the calendar.

The forecast for Costco’s reported quarter is earnings per share of 6.55 and revenue of $94.86bn. For the next quarter, analysts’ expectations stand at 4.89 per share in earnings and $73.50bn in revenue.

The difference between those two quarterly revenue estimates is substantial, with the later-quarter forecast below the figure for the period currently being monitored. The entries are estimates for separate reporting periods, however, so the schedule does not by itself explain the change or indicate how the company may perform against either forecast.

Costco’s current-year outlook is listed at earnings per share of 20.52 and revenue of $302.29bn. For the next financial year, the estimates increase to 22.67 in earnings per share and $327.18bn in revenue.

Costco’s scheduled time is 21:15 BST, equivalent to 16:15 EDT. The same time is shown in both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 entries.

What the estimates cover

The Newsquawk release provides a compact set of forward-looking benchmarks rather than a report of actual performance. For each company, it gives four categories of expectations: earnings per share and revenue for the current reporting period, the same two measures for the next quarter, and annual forecasts for the current and following financial years.

That structure allows readers to compare near-term expectations with the longer horizon. Darden’s figures point to higher expected earnings per share and revenue in the next financial year than in the current one. Costco’s annual estimates follow the same direction, with both projected earnings per share and projected revenue higher in the next financial year.

The quarterly figures provide a separate reference point. Darden’s next-quarter estimates are above its current-quarter forecasts for both listed measures. Costco’s expected earnings per share are lower in the next quarter than in the current quarter, while its revenue forecast also falls from $94.86bn to $73.50bn.

These numbers are not presented as confirmed results. They are the expectations identified by Newsquawk for the 24 September calendar. The two companies therefore give investors different sets of figures to monitor: Darden is associated with the earlier scheduled update and Costco with the later release, while both companies’ entries include projections extending into the next financial year.

The calendar also shows Costco’s presence across both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 sections, whereas Darden is identified under the S&P 500. Beyond the estimates and timings, Newsquawk’s item does not include actual earnings, revenue outcomes or additional company guidance.
