Facebook has changed the way to 'Like' any post

Facebook likes, Facebook, Like, Comment, Facebook Like, like-farming
London : The users of social networking giant Facebook, have been cautioned against immediately liking a post, or typing a comment because it is popular and you have been asked to.

Facebook has changed the way people do a lot of things online. For example, you probably notice yourself reflexively clicking “like” on anything your friends post on Facebook, even if it’s just to acknowledge you saw it. Scammers are taking advantage of that reflex for a dangerous scam called “like-farming.”

According the reports, scammers are taking advantage of the like button to get more eyeballs on their content. Originally, the content is not malicious, but after thousands of people like their Facebook posts, the scammers alter the post and add something malicious to the content.

Through this, they are able to get access to your personal information, or send you links with spyware to download.

Facebook Posts that should give you pause include those that ask you to ‘like if you love Jesus’ and ‘Type Amen if you agree’ as is common in Kenya.

Highly emotional posts are the go to tools for like-farming and a user find themselves having liked content they would never have done so in a million years after going through their likes history.

The only way a person can avoid this like-farming is to be extra careful with what you like on Facebook, as well as who tags you to these kinds of posts as a comment.

As a social media platform, Facebook is a pretty big deal. Users post their entire lives and connect with people virtually in an ever busy world where there is not time for physical meets.

Now, Facebook scams are nothing new. From the world over, victims have reported how they have fell for phishing scams where they connect with people who are not actually who they say they are.
