Vivo launched X5 Pro smartphone for price Rs 27,980 in India

New Delhi : Chinese smartphone manufacturer company Vivo Electronics Corp which entered in India last year, today has launched its latest smart phone, the X5 Pro at price of Rs 27,980 in New Delhi.

Vivo X5 Pro comes with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED 2.5D glass that has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The X5 Pro is powered by a 1.5Ghz Octa-Core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 system on chip (SoC) along with 2GB RAM on board.

The device has an internal storage capacity of 16GB which is expandable to 128GB. The X5 pro model features a 13MP rear camera with 8MP front camera.

Alex Feng, CEO, Vivo India at the launch said, "Today we are here to celebrate our flagship innovation for the Indian market. We are confident that this model will not only delight the Smartphone fans, but will also set the benchmark for next-generation design, manufacture and Hi-Fi music performance in the industry. Along with it, comes our extreme commitment to quality service pan India."

The phone comes with a battery capacity of 2450 mAh and a Battery Stamina Mode where in the Smartphone can be used for a much longer time. The highlight of the dual-SIM Vivo X5 Pro is it features eye scanner technology that is said to be employed for unlocking the device and can also be used to lock important information stored on the handset.

Vivo claims it's Hi-Fi Extreme audio experience is empowered by a custom-made DAC AK4375 audio chip, making the fine details of music finer, and giving the audience a music sensation.

The X5 pro is likely to give competition to Motorola's Moto X and Samsung's Galaxy A7 which comprises of similar features and are in round about the same price range. 

Although the device will be available from mid-August the pre bookings of the phone will start from midnight on Wednesday.

Vivo India currently has its presence in more than 200 cities across the country and is expected to start assembling its devices in India by October this year at its Greater Noida facility. 

The company, which introduced its first handset in the India in December last year is also aiming to sell about two million smart phones in the country, this year.
