Shocking ! Karan Johar is only paid 11 Rs for 'Bombay Velvet'

Mumbai : Bollywood film director Anurag Kashyap is one lucky Filmmaker who got the opportunity to cast Karan Johar. It was the 2nd Trailer Launch of 'Bombay Velvet' in the city when a reporter asked Anurag how did he came up with the idea of casting Karan Johar.

Anurag went on to explain that he believes that nobody else could have played the role of Khambatta the way Karan had. He said that, there were already Naseeruddin Shah and many more other in the talk. But when he narrated the script to Karan, Karan immediately agreed to do the film. And the First Message Anurag received from Naseeruddin was “This is the most inspiring casting I have ever seen and he is your Khambatta”

Karan had some very interesting thing to say and said that he have to said, he is very sexy and he can very well carry the role and anybody can cast me for their movie. He also said that, "I was inspired and cheap by the way". He revealed to media that he only got 11 Rs cheque and he said that I want to tell this every time. He also said that "I have been exploited" jokingly.

Well he is both inspired and sasta bhi for the Phantom Films. Well let’s hope that this experiment turns out to be a great hit. As Karan is open to acting from now onwards and have also said that, He have no delusion that he will do lead, he is very happy if he gets good character roles.

'Bombay Velvet' is Anurag Kashyap’s much-awaited period drama movie, starrring Ranbir kapoor and Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar in the lead roles, which is slated to release on May 15 of this year. 

The film is also an adaptation of Gyan Prakash’s book ‘Mumbai Fables’ and narrates the story of how the city became a metropolis against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and jazz music.
