New Delhi : Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi who is well known as the serial kisser of Bollywood, is celebrates his birthday today and he turns 36 on Tuesday march 24. He has also explored a variety of roles, apart from playing the sensual, romantic hero. Here is the RN1 wishes him a splendid birthday.

Emraan Hashmi has made a name for himself with his excellent performances in several hit films and also known for locking lips in most of his films, Earning the title of the ‘Hit Machine’, Emraan celebrates his 36th birthday today. Emraan Hashmi might have experimented with some offbeat roles, but the tag serial kisser stays with him.

Born on 24 March 1979 Emraan Hashmi appears mainly in Hindi language films. He is nephew of producer-director Mahesh Bhatt. Most of his successful movies are from Vishesh Films. Before starting his career as an actor, Hashmi worked with Vishesh Films as an assistant director.

In 2003, he made his acting debut with Bhatt's Footpath and followed it with the erotic thriller Murder (2004), which emerged as a box office success. Hashmi subsequently appeared in several hit films, mostly under the Vishesh Films banner.

Emraan took on the role of an obsessive lover in Anurag Basu’s ‘Murder’ opposite Mallika Sherawat. The film was a massive commercial successs and Emraan received a Filmfare nomination for Best Performance in a Negative Role and a Screen nomination for Best Villain.

Emraan delivered a notable performance in Kunal Deshmukh’s ‘Jannat’ based on crime, greed and fast cash. Set against the backdrop of match fixing, ‘Jannat’ was said to be a turning point in Emraan’s career.

in 2006 he played the role of Akash, an undercover cop disguised as a lounge singer in 'Gangster'. The romantic thriller that launched Kangana Ranaut and also starred Shiney Ahuja turned out to be a success and Emraan received his first Filmfare nomination for Best Performance in a Negative Role.

‘The Dirty Picture’ co-starring Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah and Tusshar Kapoor, where he played the role of a bitter writer. The film was a huge commercial and critical success, earning Emraan a couple of Best Supporting actor nominations.

Emraan Hashmi is presently busy with his few interesting releases that he has in his kitty for this year. He is also busy with Vikram Bhatt’s 3D thriller ‘Mr. X’, which will mightily release on April 17. The Bollywood upcoming film ‘Mr. X’ is a science fiction thriller, which is somewhat similar to Anil Kapoor’s 1987 release ‘Mr. India’.
