Karachi : The story of Ramgarh village which called by name of 'Sholay', Directed by Ramesh Sippy starring by Sanjeev Kumar as Thakur Baldev Singh, Amjad Khan as Gabbar Singh, bollywood's megastar Amitabh Bachchan as Jai and Dharmendra as Veeru Initial release in India on August 15 of 1975.

The film is an action adventure Bollywood movie circling around two petty thieves hired by a police officer to exact revenge on a ruthless bandit, is set to release in Pakistan, 40 years after hitting Indian theatres, a report said.

Almost every fan of Bollywood movies has probably seen Sholay at some point of time but Pakistanis will finally have a chance to see it on the big screen when it hits theatres on March 20, nearly four decades after its release.

The film is being brought to Pakistan by Mandviwalla Entertainment the owner of Karachi-based Mandiwalla Entertainment and will be released in 2D and 3D, reported the Dawn. Mandiwalla said it had always been a personal dream of his to put the iconic 1975 film on the big screen in Pakistan.

Terming the film "one of the most unique films of all time," Nadeem Mandviwalla, owner and managing director of Mandviwalla Entertainment, said that the classic was never released in the country and many people have been deprived of the experience of watching it in a cinema and therefore, the audience will come to watch it, if given the chance.

"The movie will not have a wide release. It will be shown at more cinemas but (with) less shows. It's tentatively releasing March 20, as March 23 will be a public holiday (on account of Pakistan Day), so people will have a wide array of movies to watch such as 'Jalaibee' and 'Insurgent', which are also releasing around the same time," said Mandviwalla.

However, he added that the film will not have a wide release and will be shown at more cinemas but less shows.
